The thassa. Since the first day I set foot on Lydius soil, the thassa has called to me. Its so vast and so powerful, compelling. My first voyage - the island of Cos. Must be crazy to trudge through pirate infested waters. It's a good thing that the Lydius flag waves from the masts of all five ships for the Ubar has made plenty of alliances and one of them with the pirates of Port Kar and its surrounding area. The four war ships escorting my little serpent is a sight, fully loaded and ready for defense if something were to happen. The Ubar gracious enough to send them along. I can only be grateful for his watchful concern.
Things have been running smoothly. Kory works the lines for me, he's pretty darn good at it and he loves to climb up to the mast and enjoy the view. ember says he's getting pretty good at
climbing that line he looks like a jit. The first day out on the open waters we caught us a shark and Kory was teasing the GM about weilding his clever like a madman saying we would have shark filets for the duration of the trip. We are nearly to Cos. Its been a pleasant trip and the ladies are already plotting their purchasing endeavors and discussing selling off the weapons to the war fleet just to make room for their trunks of exotic merchandise. Kory reminded them that they would have to deal with Ubar. We all had a great laugh and its been nothing but relaxation and fun.
Well, for the most part. Ive had to come down on my girl yet again. One issue of her speaking freely with one of the slaves of Lydius has been at the front of my mind and well, even though I know my girl's heart she really shouldnt be discussing my business with others. And the only reason I know about it is that I read her last journal entry and it seems Trenton let her know that she should not be speaking openly to others about my business and that it appeared that she was questioning my decisions. Well, we had discussed things her and I but then she did
something appalling. She left my presence without permission and that had me livid. The same feeling I went through when she served another man before me overcame me and I was stunned. I could not believe she would do such a thing! Something so innate to a slave yet my girl did it...so now she is under my discipline as her reasons further angered me. She said she thought she needed to be doing something instead of just sitting about at my feet. The little jira thinks way too much for her own good and I let her know this with a swift clip to her cheek with the back of my hand. So now she is to remain at my feet at all times, quietly and like a statue. No speaking freely unless I give her that privilege, she is to do nothing, not even think without my permision and if I choose to have her sitting at my feeting doing absolutely nothing...that is what she will do. I reminded her that her life began with my collar, everything she has heard or thought was right exists no more...she is mine and she will talk, think, and feel the way I want her to. The beast will learn to understand the privilege of breath at my whim and if she so chooses to defy me again, her life will end by my hand.
But on a more pleasant note, Callie and I seem to grow closer and closer. I
noticed that she wasnt eating on account of a joking comment made to her from Kory teasing her about her trunks when I mentioned I would let her know if she was overweight for the trip. Well, in the span of three days, I noticed Callie not eating more than three grapes, maybe a few bites of cheese and meats but nothing substantial. Well, her and I ended up in a heated discussion about it all. I suppose I made her feel like I was treating her like a common slave, ordering her around, force feeding her, telling her what to eat and when. But I simply wanted her to get some nourishment for I hadnt seen her eat the whole first day out on the thassa. I grew concerned. How can she possibly be healthy enough to bear me heirs if she has no meat on her bones!? But we both reached common ground and she actually ate three healthy meals today so I was pleased. She really is something that woman and every day my love for her grows. I am glad she has come on this trip with me. Glad Kory and Meg came as well, at least my first voyage isnt so lonely.
Of course, the ihn we dock at Cos, I think Malcolm (Captain of the war fleet escort ordered by Trenton to accompany us) will not be safe from Kory. He has plans to toss him overboard and I personally cannot wait to see his face as he goes flying down with a splash. Plus hearing the laughter coming from Trenton's office when he reads his Captain's report will place a smile on my face. Today we dock and now I can hear one of the crew calling for me to get on deck. I will scribble more thoughts as time permits.
