Reflection

Odin, my journal it has been several moons since I have taken the time to write in you when all it takes is a few ehn each night to do so. So much has happened since my last entry. The duties of an EnSword to one of the most industrious and thriving port cities has no end and so alot of the time I barely have time to spend with family or the children but I must make more time to jot down my thoughts. It is always a good reflection in one's life.

In review of my last scribble Dacotus and his entourage have departed, in a huff. I liked the man at first, he seemed to be confident and sure of what he needed and wanted. Over confidence I suppose is just as bad as having none at all for he left rather abruptly when his neice was removed from the city. So sure he was, running after a young female...makes me wonder if he follows the codes or the strings of a puppet. Not my place to judge, I really dont care what he does as long as he respects my Ubar and that he didnt, so we were all glad to see them leave.

Callie is taking a break from the baby making. After little Breanna and her lungs of terror, I think I need one as well. Callie has been on slave wine now for a few hands. She has her moments when her gorean stubbornness makes me have to straighten her out. Like the other night, I did something out of desparation. The twins, Caleb and Caden, being the little terrors that they are were giving me a hard time when I was to put them to bed. One would slip out while I was occuppied with his brother and then when I went for the escaping twin the other would slip out and run off as well. Well after a few rounds I decided enough was enough and so I entangled them in their blankets (of course, the tarnsman's way...I know no other way!). Well, Caleb, the more outgoing of the two escaped and thought it a game to be played with me, he stood grinning that Kory-grin as if taunting me in the doorway of the nursery but Caden (definitely a momma's boy) was balling his eyes out, still entangled in the blankets. Callie was livid needless to say and I knew so becuz she gave me the cold shoulder for a couple of ahn. Of course, I knew I shouldnt have done it as Caleb and I watched Callie try for a few good ehn to calm little Caden down...but I didnt know what else to do, they were being hornery! Well, after getting Callie to admit she was mad and that she was allowed to set me straight for I knew when I was in the wrong, I couldnt get her to stop! Finally, I told her that she wasnt to push me, that I admitted my error, that I wouldnt do that again and she just needed to get over her anger. She did.

And then, there was zyana...the shortest run with a beast in all my life on Gor. I have always found females, free or slave to be tedious most times, not worth taking time and effort...and a couple have showed their worth. zyana had no feeling...for being a passion slave, she merely existed and she was a disappointment so she was taken to the block but that in turn left me coin for another. She arrived early in la'torvis this day and I havent had the time yet to greet her. The guards assured me that she is at the pens waiting in her box so I sent word for them to remove her from her crate and make sure she was fed and bathed in preparation to meet me. I can only hope she isnt as disappointing as the others have been. Her papers assure me she was bred for her calming and soothing qualities...not sure exactly what that means but we will find out. Odin knows that is always a welcomed pleasure.

And as usual, guests have arrived to visit Lydius. There was a pleasant freewoman by the name of Jennifer Bassett who baked us chocolate twisties and even gave the receipe to the KM and they are now a regular part of the la'torvis treats with blackwine....they are pretty good. Then we've had a few come and go, a couple of physicians came through, wanting to stay but Trenton wasnt satisfied with their loosely regarded way of commitment so he politely let them know that they werent what Lydius needed...oh, the man is suave and very finicky, which is good for us. He sure knows how to weed them out. Now we have a couple of men visiting us who seem to be pleasant. One, the youngest of the two has a nervousness about him that had me wondering if they had met up with obstacles along their journey. Gor can be harsh but I know they will find Lydius to be tranquil and safe so I do hope they have a pleasant stay.

Last night, Van and Sin came out to join our family gathering. I tried hard to keep my feelings in check but fail miserably. I had to leave before I said something I would regret but I wish Van would be more of a warrior at times. That's all I will say and will speak no further of my brother even tho he has disowned me and has not advanced me any leeway for a reconciliation. For whatever its worth and even if you never hear these words come out of my mouth, I miss you brother.

Well I've actually wrote the longest entry I think I can write and Im drained, until next time journal.
