Lightening Up

Well, its been a hand now, almost and I have finally come out of my cloud. My heart still battered but my vision cleared. I dove into my duties, even trained for the tournament which I think helped. I was not eliminated right away which for a few ehn there I doubted. It pays to focus. So aye, I am thrilled that I will be progressing to Round 2 in the event. I like my shield and will fight to keep it and even upgrade to at least 2nd place. It felt good to spar, been too busy to beat up my brothers but Im just gonna have to make sure we spar regularly, duties or not!
The tourney was good, great turnout. Almost perfect save for the few disruptive guests escorted from the ship. And then of course, there's Lady Caprice. Odin bless her snobby head. I wasnt really in the mood for the tourney but once there, the guests helped in lightening my mood. Aye, even Caprice, the woman is amusing to say the least. Especially when I was speaking with her mate and she tells him rather loudly, "I'm ready to go, Colum". I had to look closely to make sure there wasnt a ring in his nose...didnt see one but doesnt mean it wasnt there. But there was one woman I found enthralling...well, ok, so she was a beauty. But she had me laughing and smiling as she joked with me and surprisingly, I allowed it. With my mood as of late Im surprised my butt cheeks were clenched tightly as its been so blatantly told to me before. Her name is Sakari Justice, a dark haired beauty, Karian and she says an Outlaw but I told her I didnt hear that part. I think what I like about her is her ability to be bold and joke with me, it feels like when my brothers joke with me, that kind of sense I get from her, not like the normal rigidness of a free woman. She is a merchant, she will be opening three Inns from my understanding and has told me that I have rooms for life there whenever I need or want...think she wants me to come visit her which doesnt sound like a bad idea. She was heading home by way of Port Kar. Something about her house in PK, children getting her Inns ready as well for the openings in a few hands. I admit I find myself already missing her company. She really did make me smile. We talked with Cronus on securing her passage and the great guy that he is, he readied one of his personal ships for her. So I am sure that Kari is now at least in Port Kar and will be in Jasmine soon enough. Im tempted to fly over to Jasmine just to see her but I wont. She assured me she would return for the remainder of the tourney so I will look forward to her return. Im thinking that perhaps after the tourney I will take a small trip myself, duties permitting and visit the Vosk and my new found friend. Perhaps we will be more than just friends in time. What can I say? She's gorgeous!


Ive noticed that ember is really watchful of my moods since Aspen. Considering I am a moody kinda guy she does alright in keeping up with me. She knows me well and in all reality without her love I dont think I would have made it thru the last couple of hands. My ember, forever will I keep you at my feet warming my heart and making sure Im taken care of. There used to be a time that I scolded her for taking care of me. Aye, poor girl, she's supposed to take care of me, no wonder I confuse her so. And as for jade, Im tempted to sell her to Kari. Kari mentioned she needed slaves for the Inns to help her serve and prepare for the openings and stuff. jade would be extremely useful to her and Kari is kind hearted woman, I think jade would fare well there. And who knows if things work out great with Kari, jade will still sorta be in the family. We'll see as my blood brother, Trenton says...time will tell. But already my head is cleared, my mood has lightened and Im feeling like myself again.
