3rd day of Third Hand of the Month of En'Kara (1) in the year 10,158 CA

It has been one eventful trip. We were supposed to be sailing to Cos but word reached us that they were under lockdown so we sailed on down the thassa to Tabor, an unexpected visit to their island but the Admin received us well there and we proceeded to enjoy the isle. We didnt really spend time with anyone other than ourselves. I got to spend some quality time with my daughter. We took walks along the coastal beaches, we shared a bosk sandwich and sul chips and juice after a long kaiila ride along the beach. Callie seemed to get in much needed rest and tho she was missed on our ride, Breanna and I had a blast. Then we took Breanna to the markets, she is certainly turning into a little lady and its a good thing the Lydius armada went with us cuz she bought all kinds of things and she is eager to pass out her gifts to everyone! Watching the men bring in our things confirmed my thought that I will be working many long days. My little Ubarita is what I called her. The first mate had a gift for her as we set sail...a ship's whistle. Odin, I had to keep reminding her that its only used when the captain or if Trenton comes on board but is not blown all the time. She just simply said she was making sure everyone remembered.

We made it back last night, the harbor lights were such a pleasure to see. I miss Lydius everytime I leave it, even if its for a short time, I love my city - my home. As we pulled into port, Breanna was jumping for joy to be home and it filled my heart with pride as she stood by the railing of the ship, looked out at the docks and claimed this was her home and she would never leave it. Callie, too, affirmed Breanna's sentiments. There is no place like Lydius.

I do have to say this....I miss the boys, I miss little Korlee's attitude and Trenessa's serious one, I miss all my children and I miss my girl. For some reason this trip I've felt ember's absence deeply. I know I've taken trips without her before but oddly this trip feels like the first time I've left her behind. But I smile becuz I know that I am home now and come Lar-Torvis I will get to spend a few ahn with her, telling her of my adventures and how Breanna loved the countryside while we took our kaiila ride and how much I've missed my ember girl in heel or her serving my meal, my kalana....the feel of her silken hair as my thick digits run thru those fiery red curls. She doesnt know it but before my duties in the wee ahn of the morning I took a peek at her, she was in the kitchen preparing my first meal of the day but she didnt know I was watching her. Always her disposition sweet and I never see her scowl. My girl, with me for my entire Lydian life....for there was very little life before Lydius. She warms my thoughts....my ember, the spark that ignites my fire.

I do feel a bit worn out today, my night back at the house was not spent sleeping ::;he smiles as he writes::: but still in my sleep chambers, seems I barely had time to rest before having to rise to my first day back at duty. Took me a few ihn to kick into gear but I managed, dogged 3 mugs of blackwine in the span of 5 ehn and I was good to go. Late out the door, I didnt have time to be served my first meal but I picked at most of it as I was walking out, straight shooting my blackwine piping hot. ember cooks everything I eat to my liking just perfectly. I remember the days when I would smack trays out of her hand when they werent just right, she's grown so much. Anyway, my little Ubarita has asked when we are going out on the thassa once again and well, jeez, she just spent a good amount of my coin I have to work it off now. Perhaps we will plan another trip soon...somewhere close.

I felt the babies kick and they were so active last night. Callie said they were pretty still the entire trip on the Bladed Rapier and she thinks that the rock of the ship helped with that. So after reading her journal entry....::::grins as he thinks what a shit he is:::: I suggested that we sleep on the ship for the remainder of her pregnancy and having the twins at the cottage. She seemed to like the idea and so plans are in motion. I have the men moving our stuff back to the ship, herding the children on board so that we can head out to the cottage after my duty filled day.
